Today, I’d like to introduce an amazing calligrapher in Osaka whom I met at the Kama Sutra Karaoke Bar. He is a Korean calligrapher from America. Currently, he lives in Korea, but he comes back to Osaka every three months. His unique style and artistic presence immediately caught my attention.

How I met him 🥳

Last Friday night, I went to the Kama Sutra Karaoke Bar to drink with my friends. The bar was very crowded, and while waiting, I noticed someone creating beautiful calligraphy for people at the bar. Luckily, I got the chance to sit next to him. I chose the song “Take On Me”, and we ended up singing together. After that, he asked me if I wanted a calligraphy piece. Of course, I said “YES!”

A Calligraphy of My Name

I asked him to draw my name, “ALEX.” He created a very beautiful and aesthetic calligraphy, full of character and emotion. I was genuinely impressed by his skill and creativity. As a small thank-you, I bought him a drink. It felt like a fair trade for such a meaningful piece of art.
